Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Anything you type into a search box on this site goes straight to the outside company that runs that search. Their system processes the query and returns the results. We do not keep or log the names, dates, or other terms you enter.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you write to us by email, we hold on to the message so we can answer it. It stays inside our team, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page loads, our servers record a small set of technical details about the visit:
- The date and time of every page view
- The address of the site that sent you here, when there is one
- Which pages you opened and how long you stayed on each
- The type of device and the operating system you use
- Your browser and its version
- The IP address assigned to your device
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files your device stores so we can see how the site is used, including which pages draw the most visits and where readers tend to stop. Analytics providers help us combine that traffic into aggregate reports. You can block cookies through your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may behave differently when you do.
What We Do With This Data
We use what we collect for a short list of purposes:
- Sending your search request to the correct partner service
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Finding and repairing technical problems
- Seeing which pages help readers and which need work
- Showing advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. It publishes general guidance about where St. Bernard Parish warrant records are kept and how to check them through the issuing court, the Clerk of Court, the sheriff's office, and the justice of the peace wards. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing collected from visitors is assembled into consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes on this site. Whatever you enter there is processed under that company's own privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide how long they keep data and who they share it with, and we have no control over those choices. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
This site links out to sheriff's office pages, court portals, state agencies, legal aid organizations, and outside search tools. Following any of those links takes you away from this site, and the destination's privacy policy then governs what happens to your information. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity across sites in order to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. A limited set of parties may still receive it:
- Advertising networks that place ads on these pages
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Law enforcement or government offices when a valid legal order requires disclosure
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect the information we collect. No website connected to the internet can promise perfect safety, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never happen, but we take reasonable steps to prevent one.
Users Under 18
This site is built for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, tell us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Records held by public bodies in Louisiana are governed by the Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., with access rights set out in La. R.S. 44:31 and enforcement available under La. R.S. 44:35. That law applies to government offices, not to a private reference site. For information this site holds, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of what we have on file about you
- Correct details that are wrong
- Erase data we hold about you
- Stop certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
